Nicolet Lewis is in her first season as Executive Vice President/Chief People Officer for the Detroit Pistons. Previously, she was Senior Vice President of Human Resources for two years after joining the organization as Vice President of Human Resources in 2019.
In her current role, Lewis is responsible for the design, development, and execution of strategy for workforce planning and development, talent acquisition, talent and succession planning, employee total rewards and ensuring that the human resources vison supports the organization’s overall strategic objective for business and basketball. She also, oversees Community and Social Responsibility, Pistons Foundation and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Before coming to the Pistons, Lewis served as a Senior Human Resource Business Partner/Assistant Vice President at Flagstar Bank and spent 11 prior years at the Target Corporation, focused on operational excellence, talent management and human resources leadership.
Born and raised in Detroit, Lewis is active in the local community and currently sits on the boards for the Institute for Sports and Social Justice and Bing Youth Institute.
Lewis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Management and a Master of Arts in Integrated Marketing and Communications from Eastern Michigan University.
