As the Affordable Care Act (ACA) continues to be implemented, it has created more work and administrative logistics to ensure your client’s needs are met. The MBPA is pleased to announce a new program to help you enroll your clients into ACA products onsite, digitally and via phone. This gives you more time to consult with your clients regarding their total benefits package, while the MBPA helps with the finite details of individual enrollment.
What kind of clients would benefit from our Client Care Services?
• Clients eliminating group health coverage and advising employees to seek individual health care coverage.
• Clients who do not currently offer employer-sponsored health insurance, but would like to provide information to employees regarding health insurance options through the Health Care Marketplace or direct from a health care insurer.
• Companies with part-time employees that need assistance in understanding their options for individual health care coverage, both on and off the marketplace
Why do this?
The MBPA has found that the ACA has caused a negative impact on rates and the ability of small businesses to afford coverage. These businesses still care about their employees and want to help them in ensuring they understand all their options to obtain individual health care coverage. The MBPA Client Care Service offers a good option to continue to provide some level of involvement in helping your clients’ employees understand their choices, should your client be cancelling their group health insurance. For those employers that have a large number of part-time employees or have never offered insurance, this is an additional opportunity for you and your client to have assistance from the MBPA team in understanding their health care options, while you still get credit for the enrollments.
How?
The MBPA will use your Agent-specific Customized Coverage for One Digital Enrollment Tool to help your clients’ employees enroll into individual products. The MBPA team will ensure your codes are properly applied to any of your clients with whom you would like us to meet to help with enrollment. You can have our team there to help you with enrollment or you can outsource individual enrollment to us. Services that we can provide are:
• Onsite orientation regarding the ACA and its impact on employers and individuals
