Jon joined BCBSM’s Federal Public Policy team in May 2009 and was named director in January 2014. The Federal Public Policy team is responsible for analysis of federal legislation and regulations and the development, in collaboration with the Office of Federal Affairs, of federal advocacy strategy and approach. Their analysis supports implementation of federal obligations, assessment of strategic opportunities, evaluation of advocacy opportunities and engagement in proactive public policy development.
Jon has a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to graduate school, Jon was a sports writer and editor in Wisconsin.
