Terry Barclay was appointed President and CEO of Inforum in 2001. In this position, Barclay oversees the only professional organization in Michigan – and one of a few in the country – that combines strategic connections, proven professional development programs, a respected forum for new ideas, and original research to accelerate careers for women and boost talent initiatives for companies. Under Terry’s leadership, in the past year Inforum has boosted the networks of 6,475 women and engaged 350 role models and mentors in supporting next-generation talent. 1,760 women have honed their skills through Inforum’s leadership programs since their inception and the women entrepreneurs in Inforum’s inGAGE program have raised $57.2 million in new capital and created 385 new jobs. Inforum’s joint venture with the University of Michigan Ross School of Business has expanded Inforum’s impact and reach to the national and international level. Inforum works closely with 110 corporate and organizational partners to produce these results, as well as a roundtable of C-suite male leaders established to propel key aspects of Inforum’s work. Barclay currently serves on the boards of Cranbrook Institute of Science; The Nature Conservancy of Michigan; Detroit Institute of Arts Diversity Committee; ION; and St. John Health Board of Directors Quality Committee. She is also an active angel investor in Michigan-based start-ups as a member of the Michigan Angel Funds I and II. Barclay earned a B.A. degree from the College of Wooster in Ohio and a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
