Vote Yes on Proposal 1

Summer is flying by! As you know, the Michigan Business and Professional Association is a strong supporter of Proposal 1, which will be on the August 5 ballot across Michigan.

We strongly encourage you to vote “YES” on Proposal 1, which will solve two problems at once for Michigan without raising taxes on anybody. Passage of this proposal is very important to the Michigan Business and Professional Association and your vote will make a difference August 5.

Proposal 1 will end the unfair and antiquated double tax on business equipment for local small businesses and manufacturers across the state while replacing 100 percent of the estimated lost revenue this uncompetitive tax provided to local communities for important services.

It is estimated that eliminating this unfair double tax (the personal property tax) will create up to 15,000 Michigan jobs and increase business investment by $450 million.
